aebs intake manifold worth it?
Are the gains from the aebs intake manifold worth the trouble of putting my 2000 civic si? thanx for the answers!

Typically in conjunction with a TB you can see some descent gains...and you will see even more improvement with aftermarket cams. For a stock motor though....and just adding the manifold, I would say it probably won't be worth it performance wise. Aesthetically it will look nice though

My stock B16A2 manifold looked pretty restrictive. I took a micrometer to it and the outside diameter of the runners was smaller than the inside diameter of my intake ports, kind of an anti-velocity stack. My AEBS has intake runners that stay wide all the way to the plenum, although the inside of the casting is rougher than a stock unit, but the major flaws come off easily enough with a Dremel with the extension kit. If I was running N/A I'd probably look at getting it opened up and cleaned out or extrude-honed, but 380-400WHP is plenty for me, so Dremel clean-up is all mine's going to get.

I have a 99 Si....for our engines..just go buy a b18c5 intake manifold for 100 bucks or so..it'll do the job
