What the hell is wrong with this car?
Okay so started out with a bad tq converter. We took it all apart put all back together with a fresh tq converter. now when you go to start the car all all it does is make a horrific grinding sound when the starter engauges. Maybe the starter is bad? Well we bought another one replaced it same problem. Is there different sized d series tq converters? could this one be just a **** hair too big? DEF NOT AS EASY AS A B SERIES or maybe im just retarted haha any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys

Grinding sound during start huh? Sounds like it could be the starter solenoid grinding against the flywheel. Iono..I might be. Anyone else care to comment?

What was wrong with the original torque converter?
Is there any damage to the pinion gear on the starter?
If everything looks fine, I can only imagine its the starter.
