What is a good muffler for my civic.
Okay I could not find this through the search. Maybe you guys can help. I am looking at upgrading my 97' Civic LX. What kind of muffler do you suggest?

with a spark plug wired onto the end to produce flames
so are you upgrading just your muffler or your whole exhaust system? Just getting a new muffler is just gonna make your car sound like **** and not give you any power.

Where to start.......
1)Magnaflow Cat-Back
2)Apex-i N1 Cat-Back
3)Apex-i WS/WSII Cat-Back
4)ES Oval with custom piping and resonator
5)Greddy SP/SPII Cat-Back
Choices are almost limitless, depends on how much you wanna spend. If you want name brand then go with Apex-i and Greddy. Me personally, I'm on a very tight budget with my gf's car so it's either Magnaflow or custom ES Oval exhaust. Surf the Ads section and see what's available. Enter those given exhaust into search and do some research to see what kind of opnions are available. Ppl feel free to add other exhausts that I might have forgotten.

get a Magnaflow cat back. You'll love it and it's cheap.
if you're more at ease with your budget, get an Apex'i N1 ou DC Sport.

No problem, glad to help. She's made some other mods that I need to update the pic gallery with. Added Angel Eye headlights and custom piped intake and Front Strut Bar I picked up in Taiwan by the same company that makes the ones for AMG or so I'm told. Good luck with your EK, nice to see some ppl not afraid to rep the 4-doors.

Re: What is a good muffler for my civic. (Knightmare69)
I have a Trust axle-back, and i love it!!!
canister muffs are OK, if you have a big ol' turbo or something, i guess...but i think for our little civics, a nice "oval" style muffler is nice and sporty. I'd prolly get the GReddy SP or Tanabe hyper-medalion if i didn't have my trust one. peace.
