what is going on???
A week and a half ago I did an oil change and came up a liter short. Previous to this I had done a compression test and came up with 170, 170,175,170 and never been short on previous oil changes.
I assumed I was burning oil because of the missing oil, but I just did another compression test and came back with 180,180,185,180. On top of that after about 700 kms there is no missing oil.
So what is going on? It is a D15B7 with about 210 000 kms.

perhaps you had a loose drain plug, and after doing the oil change you got it tightened up correctly? did you notice any oil in your garage or whever you park?

no, there was no oil in the garage - I thought the same thing. I let it drain on a level surface with the jack stands set at the same height as well.

You could have bad valve guide seals...but I think that would still mess up your compression...I dunno...you got me.......
