Default what does it take to change TDC sensor

Autozone did a code scan on my girlfriends 96 ex and said the top dead center sensor was out. They didn't have "that" part.

Default Re: what does it take to change crankshaft sensor

Car? Engine?

The TDC is inside the distributor. However, this code can be caused not only by a bad TDC sensor, but also by a bad TDC sensor wire or even a bad ECU. Resistance test the TDC sensor (should be 350-700 Ohms) and test the two TDC sensor wires for a short or open. If the TDC sensor is bad, you generally need to replace the distributor housing.
