I was working on a 1988 hatch and put a b16 in it put a new act XTHD with SS disc in it, hasport billet mounts, and a jimfab front crossmember...along with all the new maintenance parts that are suggested. It's a first gen b16.

A guy wants to trade me the above for a 1996 silver hatch, that runs and has 110k miles on it. (for just my motor mounts and jimfab.) He said the body on the silver hatch is not perfect it needs a new headlight and the fender is unpainted due to an accident, but I was just wondering what you all thought about that deal.

Im really thinking about it since I already have a 1993 hatch with the b18c5 in it to satisfy me with a fast car.....

If the car checks out go for it. You could just sell the silver hatch and buy something else.

I just went and checked out the car, it is in excellent shape besides the fact that the allignment is screwed from him running into a ditch, and need the passenger side headlight and has a new fender on it that isnt painted yet. I think Im gonna have to jump on it.

What all does it take to change the front end of that car to a 99-00 front??? Since half of it is screwed up anyways.

So you get to keep the B16 too? Hell yeah thats gonna be a fun beater.

Nah I dont get to keep the b16....Im giving the guy the b16 for the 96 dx hatchback......But I have something in the works better than a b16 for the 96....

that is an alright deal - but it sounds like the EK was wrecked- have you checked for frame damage?

Yeah I checked everything out...it needs an alignment it wasnt actually wrecked he just went off the road into a ditch only thing that got messed up was the allignment, and fender...he has already replaced with a new oem fender one and the headlight is cracked....nothing major.
