How drastic do you want to go? You can take out any sort of carpet that is in the car. I have heard that you can get A carbon fiber roof panel for the del sol. You can take heat gun and a scrapper and take the tar stuff they use for sound deadening. If i remember correctly the back window of the delsol is electronically controled. You could take out those controls and make it permantly up. You can take out your AC compressor. Like i said it really matters how dractic you want to go.

if your not going to give him advice that helps him with his del sol why post at all?

You could replace the power steering rack with manual rack... lexan windows. Have you gutted all the interior yet? Racing seats are usually lighter than the stock seats. Alot can be done it just matters how much time and money you want to put into your car...you can even buy lighter engine parts to replace the factory stuff.

A light weight flywheel and the lightest rims you can afford is a good start.

A lightweight battery such as one from a Honda Goldwing Motorcycle, or the Type One battery will save you as much weight as a typical carbon fiber hood.
The hoods all weigh different amounts but I think the battery will save you around 15 lbs, which isn't bad. (for being much cheaper than a hood)

AHhahha he said "wait."

The Del Slows have a built roll over support which makes the weight.

No, the del sol has a reinforced frame to make up with the loss of support from the targa top. Just like any convertible car.

It's also said that to every 400lbs is 1/10 off. Trying to lighten a del Sol is pointless. You won't make up much weight.

pull the ac, switch to a manual rack, pull the tar out, carpet, rear interior, leave the dash pull the rear speakers and leave the front two so u got some music, pull the roof rack in the trunk, take out sound deadener, lexon windows like said before, get the jdmhondaparts.com ac bracket (aluminum),lighter battery, pull the spare and jack and lastly if u dont mind get rid of the bumper supports. it all depends on what ur comfortable with on the supports

Where the hell did you pull that figure from??
So a civic hatch with a gsr motor only runs 1/10 faster than a integra gsr????
