Icon2 what to do with my exhaust? suggestions?

Heres my dilemna boys.,
i have a 2" 1/4 exhaust system with a 400CFM high flow cat in my 95 civic.
now im putting a b18c1 in it.. i went to a muffler shop and they quoted me $300 to switch it to 2" 1/2.

what im asking is..

Should i leave this exhaust i have on now ?
Should i invest in the $300 and switch it to 2" 1/2?
OR
Say screw both of em and get an Apexi WS2 Exhaust System?

any help would be appreciated, thanks boys.

Bro, once you boost that car, you will absolutely want a full turbo back 3" exhaust. The 2.25 you have now will be fine for the stock C1 so don't waste your money until you've got a big *** snail bolted on that motor!

I don't know about all these other people, but leave the 2.25 on there. I have a skunk2 2.25 and it runs great. My buddy who has a fully built and t3/t4 hybrid turbo d16z6 and 2.25 inch exhaust and he runs 10's easily, the 3" imho is a myth and from my understanding only needed when you slap an over sized turbo on a Honda. Keep it right and build it right and you wont need that 3"........ Granted the 3" gives more flow and helps you spool quicker, if you have a smaller turbo you don't need that huge exhaust to spin the tiny turbo quickly.......

10 second D-series with a 2.25" exhaust? I'd like to see that...i had a 2.5" greddy sp2 for my turbo d and it was INCREDIBLY restrictive; would barely spool the turbo.

As for the gs-r, I would leave it alone until you boost it. large exhausts on non-turbo hondas sound raspy and annoying.

Almost forgot...you want an exhaust to match the car, not the engine.

Well, unlike ya'll, I can't really show you the time slip, its not my car, but he showed me his time slip, no joke. Different turbo's spool at different rates. There is more to a turbo then just "buy one" but it seems like ya'll don't know that.........

Yea, i assure you some of us do. But, it isnt just stick a turbo and run 10's with a single cam.
Show us something, not just "he ran 10's"

2.25" exhaust with an open dump maybe? A lot of people take their exhausts off when running at the track

Yeah ,I've been their stalker fan for the last 10 years, they are among the best I've seen as far as smaller local shops.

I remember when all they had was floor jacks to do the swaps and a little homeless looking shop, now they're pretty much high end , but still have reasonable prices for the work they do.

They often fix other bad swaps and add reliability features.

I missed the special they had last summer a B18C5 with LSD tranny, axles etc, the whole enchilda swapped into your ride for $4000

I should have jumped all over it

Yeah like others said if your planning on boosting it , might as well go for the 3.0 , but if your leaving it NA then save your money and leave the 2 1/4

Damn...with the work they do I wouldn't have minded comin' across that deal.

I'm trying to get a good twin-loop loop system installed because my DD goes about 45 min to work and most of it's highway and interstate mileage.
