tried that and it seems as if i might end up stripping it...i was wonderin if maybe i put a bar down inside the cover and put some pressure against the pulley itself if that would allow me to break it loose...any thoughts???

So the engine is in the car right, with crank pulley on and everything right?
What i did with the tensioner is just put a 12mm (or watever size you put, i forgot) socket, and just turned it like crazy. I also thought i was stripping it but in the end it was good. Also make sure your all the way on it, that way it would turn easier. Good luck.

i say just use all your power to break it loose. it wont matter if you put a bar on the inside of the cover to hold the tensioner down b/c that wont spin as you turn the bolt.
if you end up stripping the bolt then drill it out but they may be hard b/c there isnt much room to work with.
