What distributor is this?
Okay so i ordered a swap from japan. It's a JDM D15b. It has seven prong's that plug into the harness and i have a obd2 application. I'm looking to get a adapter harness from rywire but not sure which distributor this is. I don't see any plugs on Rywire's site that look like my plug for the distributor.

I can't tell exactly what it is, but I can tell you its not the right distributor. It *may* be an Accord or Prelude distributor, pics are pretty blurry. Try your old distributor on it, if it the mounting holes line up, use it, if not you'll need a distributor for a D16Z6/D15Z1 (Si/EX/VX) plus an adapter harness.
Edit, i'm not even entirely sure thats a honda distributor.

Re: What distributor is this?
I have a box full of Honda distributors from various engine series and model years ranging from the mid-1980s all the way up to 2002, and none of them look like that. The closest one that I can see is a '98-02 F-series distributor, but its cap looks nothing like the one in your photo. Honda has only used 6 unique distributor caps that I know of on OBD-1 and OBD-2 engines, and none of them look like that. I don't think you have a Honda distributor. It doesn't even bolt up properly judging by the unused upper mounting hole . . .

I would take that swap back to the guys you bought it from. Cuz obviously they have no Honda engine knowledge. Cuz I'm sure as help that ain't a Honda dizzy.

They did. The only OBD-2 D-series I know of that had a Hitachi distributor was the D16Y5, but the cap, body, and plug didn't look like those on the distributor pictured.

Looks like some '94-'97 Accords, '95-'98 Odysseys and 1st gen CRXes came with Hitachi distributors. I'm sure I could find more if I looked through the catalog more. Targa is also correct in that the HX came with a Hitachi distributor. I just checked it in the parts catalog too.
