What is the difference between a 99-00 civic Si front sway bar and a civic Ex's?
So what's the difference between these two bars? I know the endlinks are completely different, but what else? I think they are both 26mm, I'm just trying to see if i should change my front bar. Right now I'm running an ST front bar, and I just installed a Beaks kit with an ITR rear sway. I think its a good balance between under/oversteer with the setup i have right now, but i heard some horror stories about ST's bars. I got rid of that poorly designed ST rear bar that hits my LCA's everytime I hit a bump. (The ST rear bars weren't designed to work with a short stroke damper system) So any input would help, thanks.

I think the EX front are 21mm but I am unsure. I read this on another thread from someone else so it may be wrong.

Hmmmm, no one seems to be sure...Doh! What are the differences in performance? Is replacing an EX sway bar with an Si a mod worth doing?

EX has a 22mm front bar. SI has a 26mm front bar. If you want to put an SI bar on an EX, then you need the bar, end links, lower shock/damper forks, and front lower control arms.

that would be a pain in the *** - buy a larger sway bar made specifically for a 96/98 civic.

Would the Si front sway bar be a pain? I've got the set sitting in my garage for about 6 months now debating whether or not I should mount it.
I've got the Comptech rear sway bar setup. Any input on mounting the Si front? Worthwhile? or put it up for sale?
Thanks.

ex and lower civics execpt DX has 22mm front sway bar. SI is 26 mm.
and you dont
need all that extra parts to install the SI front sway bar. the only thing you will need is the bar
and a set of my endlinks.
trying to make some more sells.
