Default What to with this del sol?

My friends del sol was stolen recently. It was recovered and we got it back and it is stripped obviously. It was a 1997 Si VTEC with the B16A. They cut the brake lines, took the engine and trans, seats, stereo, etc. It seems to be rebuildable with work and money. I'm thinking I should find another del sol to strip to get the parts like brake lines, seats, carpet, etc, and then get another enigne from somewhere, like an ITR motor or a GS-R motor and set it up for that. You know build it up even better than before. The only thing I'm concerned about is whether or not I can use any year del sol 92-00 or if there is differences in the years. I'm not concerned with the engine management systems and all that because I plan on redoing the necessary wiring new. I'm just looking to see if there are differences in interior, brakes, A/C, coolant hoses, and so on. Thanks.

I'm not concerned with the engine management and wiring. Just the body of the car and the compnonents not related to the motor, wiring, and emissions. I'm just looking for if there is a difference with the brakes, cooling systems, interior, etc. Not the engine. The OBD shouldn't matter. You know like parts on an Integra are interchangable 94-01 except for the engine because of the OBD, but parts like the brakes, wheels, seats, consoles, and so on are. I'm redoing the powertrain and drivetrain with something else.

The 96-97 Sols Have a different bumper with no Aux Lights.

The Del Sol VTECs have 10.44" Front Brakes and 9.44" Rear
Also had 25mm Front sways and 15mm rear sways.

Most other 92-00 Civic Parts are interchangable.

Thanks _.Sarge._. That's what I was looking for. We might install some aux lights, so it might be better that way. Don't need the brake discs, so that's ok too. and don't need the sway bars, so that'll make it easier to find a cheap del sol for parts since I can all the way back to 1992.

Sure Just remember if you want a rear sway you will have to use the VTECs or get aftermarket ones.

the only differences in the 93-95 sols vs the 96-97 are:
front bumpers
sway bars
vtec bar
interior color at the top of the doors, rear speakers, rear panel below rear window, door handles
seat colors
Aside from that, it's the normal obd1 to obd2 differences.
