Default Del Sol reliability? Thinking of buying one.

I'm thinking about purchasing a Del Sol Si or VTEC. A friend of mine advised that the Del Sol is less reliable than other civics. How can that be possible, when it uses the same engines?

Are there any other gremlins to worry about that is specific to the Del Sol?

you're friend doesn't know what he's talking about. A del sol is just a civic with a different body.

Thanks for the pros/cons thread. I couldn't find it in my search, but it was exactly what I'm looking for.

yeah the only reliability change betwean the civic and the del sol is the roof seals and the rear wing clips tend to leak. if properly maintain your seals there is no issue.

Just fix the roof seals right off the bat if they're bad and it will last just as long as any other civic.
