What causes lagging?
Hey what can cause lagging on a JDM D15B Vtec? I mean it lags around 2,000-3,600rpm and then gets a lot of power! Any help? and it just started doing it, all i have done is change the air filter in my CAI.WTF

Lack of displacement.
Unless it's really like shaking your brain or bogging out, then it's likely just the lack of power.
My y7 doesn't do **** before ~4000 rpms.
Are you getting any cels?

somthing wrong with the tune.. too ruch at that pooint then leaning out making power..
vtec point set too low..
(timing off).. most likely
bad fuel filter.. man it can be many things.. make sure u have no enigne codes and all grounds are good first then go through the car step by step part by part and find out its kinda process of elimination ..

Re: What causes lagging? (ek forever guy)
No cels. I mean i just took out that ghetto *** filter that i got on my egay CAI and boom its lagging at that range i specified. I mean i have OBX header,Catback2.25,CAI,MSD coil ****,light flywheel, stage 3 clutch. If that helps. But i dont get it i do feela better pull at 4000 and Vtec sounds loud as expletive but why is it lagging at low rpm?Thanx for the help so far
