what are the benefits between p30 and a p28?
i'm new to the whole "new world" of today's automotive, and still learning. less wires and no ecu compared to my other car.
so, benefits between a p30 and p28? any one over the other? i am currently running a p30 in my b16a2 swapped hatch, and have seen many different posts involving the p28. if i remember correctly, the p30 is out of a del sol? is that correct?
also, i will be adding hondata at some point soon hopefully, but am impatient and curious of adding a chip to my p30. could anyone tell me about the price and where i could pick one up? just trying to figure out my options.
thanks for any helpful input

as for one thing
p30 is for dohc vtec cars
p28 is for sohc vtec cars
you will need to chip p28 to be able to run dohc motors. usually chips will eliminate knock sensor depending on which chip you use.

both the P28 and P30 are chipable, both run the same processor internally.
the only real difference is the base map included in the factory rom and the knock sensor board in the P30.
Either ECU can be used to run any engine provided you chip them.
with your B16A you're better off with the P30 due to the factory rom matching the engine.

what would be the benefit of not running a knock sensor? isn't it there to, you know, sense knock? along with vtec, there to save the motor if there is knock and disable vtec? just wanted to clarify.
