When I first got my 94 Civic EX Coupe the same thing was happening to me. Whenever I started to slow down, especially after exiting off the highway my car would shake a lot. I took it to the shop, turned out the rotors were screwed. They said they were warped or something. So I got them fixed and the car is fine. About your idle problem, I had some trouble with the idle. Turned out the Throttle Cable was too tight. Fixed it right up.

hey thanks it also happens when i get off the highway. and im doing the oil change today. One more thing, when im going about 40 and use the brakes the car shakes and feels like the tires are gonna fall off. could that be with the rotors or just low tire pressure ?

The car shakes from low idle or from braking? If it's from braking... uh... maybe its the brakes? Turn your rotors.

Wait a minute it is one thing that the car can shake when you apply the brakes (like everyone said, have your rotors turned... You may need a complete brake job also), but to shake at idle like you stated????????? Please explain....

Does it have motor mount inserts? Could also be a bad mount somewhere.

i'll put money your rotors are warped and possibly your tires our out of balance have someone at a tire shop check both of those for you and as for idle shaking when is the last time you got new plugs/wires/rotor/cap/filter? i'd suggest doing all of the above to try to fix that problem.

Hold on a sec before you change plugs/wires/rotor/cap/filter... Is it really shaking when it is sitting at idle?

every time i rev/accerate the engine get all shakie. someone told me i had a bad mount and pointed it to me, but i didnty see anything but the mount no cracks or anything. was a friend and he was laughing all day i assumed he was high. maybe it is a mount i dunno oh and now my car wont start. i use my instant starter thing to get it running and everytime you shut the car off it wont start. and when i try to start it it makes a clicking sound. i think i have a bad spark plug.im off do get 4 new plugs and a oil change. see what happens then.

Man, if it shakes like that when you accelerate, you should get it checked out by a mechanic you trust. If you think an oil change and spark plugs will cure this, go see a mechanic please..
