weird noise coming from drivetrain, check this out y0!
So for a couple months now, I have been hearing this noise coming from my engine bay. If I go to start off in first gear, and let the clutch out real fast with only 20% throttle or so, its really loud, like a hollow click or a knock. It also makes this noise sometimes when turning or going over certain bumps. I have been thinking it is a bad ball joint, but they all looked ok.
If I am on the highway at like 2500 rpms in 5th, and I kick the gas, and let off right away, it will do it. Sometimes I will not use my clutch to shift, and last night I went to pop it into 3rd without the clutch, and the rpm wasnt right so it jerked into gear, and made the noise then. My car recently started vibrating pretty damn bad on the highway doing like 77-85. The whole car doesnt shake, just the steering wheel. The thing is though, if I deal with the vibrating, it will go away in 5 minutes or so.
I can't really describe the noise, other than a hollow clicking or a clunk, almost sounds like a binding, but not. Its been making my front end feel sloppy, like there is play in the transmission or something.
I think it might be my inner CV joint on the passenger side. I was rotating my tires today and I noticed a tiny bit of grease around the boot, but it was not fresh and there was no rips in the boot, or splashed grease anywhere.
Any ideas?

you might want to take off the shaft and inspect it! make sure that theres no binding or lack of cv lube.
