I love my skunk2. Feels awesome and it helps with shifting by adding weight (momentum) to the shifting. Sounds stupid but it works.

Also get some polyurethane bushings while ur at it. Thats what im running and i love it.

no, short shifters themselves are what can cause damage

no, its the misshifting that'll damage it.

people slam through the gear before the clutch is fully depressed....grindy.

???

I'm aware of the ricers who slam it into gear and ruin the transmission. Though I didn't know that short shifters themselves (installed properly) ruined the transmission - explain?

Where did you hear this information? A friend of a friend of a guy who worked on a car of a guy who knew a guy that installed an ebay short shifter on his car to gain 5 seconds at the street races? Cause I think that is where you got that from.

This is true. People are used to the longer distance in a shift and therefore pull the car out of gear before the clutch is completely disengaged.

if you match rpms and then clutchless shift it doesn't harm your transmission. but if you aren't good at that, don't start trying now.

I've been using my TWMperformance 1.1lb shift **** + B&M Straight short shifter for a while now with no issues whatsoever, even with 174k on the original tranny there's never been any grinds/sticking. All these random "facts" about short shifters and weighted ***** being bad for your transmission is just retarded.

ive had my greddy counterweight for over a year now and no problems the shifting feels more direct now with the short shifter and urethane bushings and my 3rd gear is grinding only because of the asshat who had it previously
