washed the engine bay now my motor idles like **** and dies sometimes
so yea i degreased the entire engine bay and i made sure to cover my dizzy and intake but somehow some water got somewhere. the car idles fine when cold but after driving it will stall at stop lights like 50% of the time and after running and warm it idles up and down. will my problem hopefully dry out after a day? or is there something i need to clean up. i have no cel or anything and i really didn;t go too hardcore with the water while rinsing but something happpened
i was afraid this would happen before i started cleaning the bay.

I really doubt washing an engine while it's turned off can hydrolock a motor.
Start with popping off your distributer cap and spraying a bit of WD40 on the contact points. I have had it happen in the past where the water still got in the dizzy even though it was "covered" as best I could and it would idle like a WRX.

Water in the coil. Take it off, open it up, let it sit out for a day.
EDIT: Jay beat me to it
