I want to get my d16a6 running like new again.. i have an EVER so slight knock that is only audible from 1000- 2000 rpm.. i dont know what it is exactly, but my gut feeling is that it is rod nock..

im eventually going to buy another used motor. but itll be another USED motor, and will run like a USED motor runs. I would like to make my tired d16a6 run like new again, and have enough reliability so i can actually travel on the freeway without being paraniod.. pretty much a bottom end rubuild and anything else that needs to be done.

What would i need to do this? can i get this done somewhere that wont charge me an arm and a leg? thanks for the replys..

You will have to take the motor to someone who knows how to Inspect the motor. Most Machine shops will do this for you but you will have to remove the motor yourself.
