Default vx wheels vs. integra steelies

just replaced my stock 13" vx wheels with some 14" 91 integra steelies, i notice better surface handling and a better ride overall. what is the weight difference on these? should i expect a significant change in fuel economy???

VX wheels will give you better fuel economy

VX wheels = 9 lbs
14" OEM Steelies = 18 lbs

Less wheel weight = less rotational mass = engine doesnt have to work as hard to move wheel (frees up HP) = more gas mileage

Reason your handling is better is because the VX stock wheels are 165 series tires and 14" steelies are 185 series tires...so you have about 15% more tread to grip the road...

Personally I would've kept the VX for their exceptionally light weight and ran wider tires...but whatever floats your boat.

I use VX wheels as drag wheels because they are m4dd light y0!

i believe vx wheels are somewhere are 8lbs, or maybe 11lbs, or maybe thats hx wheels. steelies are probably heavier, not 100% sure exact weight. vx wheels are the **** why did you ditch them.

edit: damn you are quick, your all over like ever post lol.

Does anyone know if VX wheels will clear 93 Civic EX brakes? Note: Mine are not the 9" rotor brakes, but instead they are 10.x" rotors with the caliper that has a 'bar' looking-like thing on it.. looks just like my Integra's brakes.

I don't think they will clear the calipers. I know my hx wheels won't without a spacer.

NO! HX and VX wheels will only clear CX, DX, VX, LX, Si HB brakes...92-00 EX and 99-00 Si brakes CANNOT FIT HX OR VX WHEELS without a spacer

Well if you have smaller brakes for some stupid reason like i Do on my 94 Del Sol SI HX wheels fit fine. Why wont the HX's fit on EX's i know the VX wheels are like 13'sd steelies the wont fit a EX but HX too? hmmm

The EX calipers are too big for the HX wheels. But I believe some people simply grinded down their calipers to make the wheels fit.
