Default kyb shocks... self locking nut or regular nuts?

i got some kyb's and i was wondering if i am suppose to use the stock self locking nut for the top mount, or the 2 regular nuts supplied by kyb? the kyb's does not have the allen wrench on the top to hold the piston from spinning when you are tightening with a self locking nut.
