Default vtec solenoid???

How do i take the vtec solenoid off my 2000 civic si? I think my filter could be clogged or sumthing! Just need to know how to take off.

3 10mm bolts, take them off then carefully pull it off.

probably need a socket and a lil' extension....shouldn't take more then a few mintues to have it off and cleaned up

By the way man just wondering could that be the reason my car does not wanna pull after vtec and also would the engine throw a light for this?

Could be, could also be that you are low on oil. Check your oil while you are at it.

Oh and for future reference, don't rev your engine after you throw a check engine light. It obviously means something is wrong, which could be fatal (for the engine) if ignored or not respected and taken care of.

Yea i checked the oil. Will i need to replace the gasket?

Thanx dude. Just hopin it's not a bad solenoid those things are high!!!!! Anything else you thing i should check?
