Default vtec not working. .... what could be wrong. ****

I just notice today that vtec isnt working ..... wire is ok... what else could be wrong/?

it's a b18c1 in a 94 hb yeah i did install the wire myself and it was working for the past 2 years but it dont seem to work anymore. Any my temp. gauage on the cluster doesnt seem to work too.

we need more info! what engine? did you do a swap? was it working before? what computer are you running? did you add the vtec wires if you did do a swap or are they in the right place? talk to use!!

i think that the problem is that your vtec isnt working.

Well I'm no hybrid troubleshooting expert - but since the temp. gauge is not functional maybe the car is not able to warm up to Standard Operating Temp...therefore not letting VTEC activate.

I am not sure what you would check to fix that problem...

check the wires all the way back to the ecu, then check to make sure the vtec solenoid is not clogged, the if still nothing make sure the vtec solenoid is still good, then maybe check the oil pressure. let me know

I am not sure what you would check to fix that problem...
yea maybe your car is not warming up to operating tempertures,...check to see if the thermostat is stuck open,..if so then this will allow the coolant to run fully which in turn wont let the car warm up,..or it might take forever for it to warm up,...also check to see if you got oil or if your leaking oil
