VTEC on my Mini-Me isnt working...
yes, I took out the oil jet in the block. I have an autometer oil pressure guage, and its got plenty of pressure.
Im using a VAFC to control the VTEC, because i have a DX ECU. What i did was, instead of hooking up the Input wires to the VAFC, and the output wires to the ECU, I straight wired the ouput wires directly to the selnoid and the Pressure switch, HOPING that it would just engage off the VAFC.
Well... since its a SOHC, i cant hear or feel VTEC engaging if im driving the car, or just have the hood popped revving it.
I tested the VTEC selnoid by touching it to my battery, and i can hear it click when the car is off.... so i know its working...
Is the VTEC working on my car and since its a SOHC i cant tell... or will the VAFC trick not work, and i need to go get a damn P28?

Re: VTEC on my Mini-Me isnt working... (Simple)
I asked about running a vafc for the vtec and using my stock dx ecu when I did my mini me and they said it wouldnt work. They said I would need something like the MSD rpm switch which activates vtec at the rpm you set it at. If I were you I'd go and get a p28 and run the vtec off of that. Your DX ecu is making your mini-me run rich and probably shittier than your stock setup.
