Default Vtec Light

Ok, I decided to put a vtec light in and everything went fine untill I decided to test it out. When I hit vtec the light doesnt come on. I tested it with a 9 volt battery and sure enough, the light flicked on. I ended up taking the wire tapper off and come to find out, it didnt even get through the cover on the vtec wire. So I stripped the cover off, tested it again, and it still didnt work. After messing with the wire enough, it finally broke off, so I stripped it down and connected the wire from the light directly to the vtec wire and reconnected it all. Still didnt work. The only other thing I can think of would be my actual vtec light. Ive read the diy's on vtec lights and one said to use a 330 ohm resistor. Looking at the packaging on the light, it says it has a built in 450 ohm resistor. Could this be my problem? Its the only other thing I could think of.

Wow I usually just listen for the loud intake/exhaust note change and then feel the unGodly acceleration to know my VTEC is working.

All I could think about when I read this thread is a beer named VTEC.

"The cool, refreshing, crisp taste of VTEC lite. All the VTEC, half the carbs."

PS - Nice MGS name :D
