Default vtec engagement

is it better to let the vtec kick in at 4500 or 6000 rpm's...(vtec controller) just want to know the pros and cons about it..opinions are helpful...thanks in advance.

The ideal vtec engagement is the smoothest transition between the two cam profiles.
Engaging vtec too early will create a power dip (loss of power).

i second that. but unless your boosting i would leave it stock. i know some guys lower the engagement point to help spool there turbos.

i'm trying to find out if leaving my b18c1 vtec engagement @ 6000or 6500 will be good for an all motor setup...

1. vtec on a b18c1 is 4400
2. vtec point is dependant on the cams used and head setup
3. vtec point is best determined on the dyno
