vtec controller...for honda civic ex coupey
i know this guy who wants 100 bucks for an rs type vtec controller..anyway...is this really worth it? will i notice a difference? would you buy it?

Will it be worth it?Well, with basic bolt ons, no. I guess you could bump the fuel up a little with it, but with basic bolt ons, don't expect much.

Its not worth it on a SOHC motor, unless you have changed the camshaft. The stock engine with bolt-ons, likes the stock VTEC point, you will notice something with a VTEC controller though.....your car will be slower.

This applies if you do have a few bolt ons, chipped and such, and get everything tuned and still have a VAFC? Is it useless then really?

I have wired in a VAFC when the Y8 I was testing had a I/H/E and intake manifold, along with ignition. The car liked the stock VTEC point, didn't like anything higher or lower.
