vtec cam shaft in a non vtec engine?

vtec cam shaft in a non vtec engine?
will this work because i want a more aggressive cam shafts and i can find like after market d series shafts. or will something else work ?

no this will not work. if you are looking for a more aggresive cam, you will have to go aftermarket.

You may have seen it or know the concepts of vtec but not how it really works inside an engine. If you knew how vtec works, you could have answered your own Qs cause off the bat, you would have known that you need a vtec solenoid, rockers, and wired vtec ecu to make it work. No need to get defensive.
If you really want to use vtec on a non-vtec engine, search for mini-me. There are more agressive cams for non-vtec but heard they suck and not worth it. See http://www.deltacams.com for regrinds. But you'll still need a chipped ecu and a good tune to use it. Better off boosting or swapping in B18s.

i had the delta 272 regrind in my y7. it was decent. i think zex makes a d series cam, but i don't know if it is only for vtec motors or not.
