I looked at my VIN on my 94 civic.
It didn't say EG, i looked at the VIN on my 96 civic, it didn't say EK.

So how do you know which chasis.

usdm 92-95 civics never said eg it says eh
not sure about the 96+ ones

only jdm civics had those codes in the vin...my civic says EG4 before the vin numba

I read where people say you can find out the chasis code by the VIN.

See integras make sense.

Its always starts with JDC.
So you get the chasis code right there.
Than if its a DC2 you know instantly its a GSR, or if its DC4 than you know its a LS.

Evs-One

USDM 92-95 hatches are...

EH3 for Civic Si's
EH2 for all other hatches
EJ*(I think 1) for coupes
EG*(I think) for sedans

96+ Civics are:

EM1 for Si
and don't know the rest. Look on the VIN, and it will be ___EH3_________ or ___EH2________, etc.

2HGEJ6 are the first numbers in my 99 CIvic hatchback's VIN.

So, what is it? An EJ6?
