Default verify an engine ID please

sorry, n00b here.

Got a blacktop DOHC ZC from a 92+ JDM Civic, S20 hydro trans... but my question is in regards to the casting/stamping on the block between Cyl 1&2 used to distinguish the production year. Mine says 90. That would mean it was made in 1990, right? This doesn't bolt into my '91 CRX, like a '90- D-series would though. Sorry, just a lil confused.

I'm purchasing a mount kit, and just want to make sure the 92+ D-series w/ hydro trans conversion kit will work for my car.

Plus, the serial # below the ZC stamped on the block starts w/ a "3." It's def a D16, but a D16-what

Thanks

Also, if i recall, the intake manifold has got a casting of HF-1 on the back of it. Could the casting on the block be a poor cast of '98, and not '90?
