Re: VEIP help!!!
I thought you couldn't ask this kind of stuff on here?
Like illegal street races, and other illegal stuff.
I don't care I know a friend of a friend of a friend that does that. I'm just saying

Re: VEIP help!!!
Well let's at least try to help him out and troubleshoot his problem, what year is the civic? What year is your gsr motor? Its possible that you put an obd 1 motor into an obd 2 car or dropped it from obd2 to obd1 for tuning purposes....

Re: VEIP help!!!
What are you failing for? In MD if your car is 96 or newer they just hook it up to an OBD scanner... If your car isn't throwing any check engine lights then it won't fail... What are your CELs?

Re: VEIP help!!!
like i just posted on another thread: I have a 93 Si hatch with a 97 USDM GSR swap, no cat, P72, TEIN basics turned down, and I was given an 18month emissions waiver from the Reisterstown VEIP for being to low to go over the rollers. SLAM YOUR ****.....it should work. Did for me.

Yup, I second that, my buddy put his talon tsi thru emissions, during the 3 months that it was running off and on last year, lol, damn dsm's, and his intercooler sat too low and he was lowered 2.5 inches and they gave him a waiver

Re: VEIP help!!!
I haven't had to pay for emissions or take the test for 4 years now. I just lowered my car and they don't even bother me. I roll up to the Westminster station, they look at the car, tell me to go inside and I get a waiver. Pretty simple and it saves $14.

Re: VEIP help!!!
FYI for all the Maryland people. As of August 1, 2009. Non-OBD cars do not have to do the dynamometer testing, only idle and gas cap testing. Here's a link to the release on the MVA website:
http://www.marylandmva.com/MVAProg/VEIP/VEIPfacts.pdf
I think our cars easily pass idle testing as long as they are tuned correctly.
