VC problem...WWHTD?
Well, yesterday I painted my VC and as I was re-installing it one of the thread housings for the VC studs on the cam girdle split into 3 pieces. Funny thing was the bolt was just starting to thread into it when it happened, so it wasn't because I overtorqued it.
No oil leaks at the VC-Head meeting point so I'm not worried about fixing it really....
The problem is the bolt. I Used some make-a-gasket between the bolt and VC and that is just a temporary fix...only 3 small drops of oil have come out since. What should I do with the bolt to keep it in the hole?

Depends on how bad the split is .... but you may be able to put in a helicoil.
This happened to me on my old Y7. I never fixed it, because the chunk sheered right off. There wasn't anything for me to even put on. I used liquid gasket to hold the bolt down, and that was that.
