valve adjustments

what are the advantages of getting a valve adjustment?. Any performance gains?

Nope. Valve adjustments are a part of a tuneup.

You CAN get horsepower back by adjusting your valves to a certain spec. If they are totally wack then you will be loosing power but you can't neccesarily GAIN horsepower.
