Default Vac leak @ idle = Horribly lean?

Im working on PCV designs, and was wondering, Im going to remove the PCV valve. Yes this will create a Vac leak, but it will be offset from the longer hoses im using to route everything to a front mounted catch can.

We all know the PCV valve is a "controlled Vac Leak" So maybe the added restriction of the longer hoses would help settle the crazy vac leak I will get.

So the question is, I know only @ idle I will have a vac leak, but is this horrible for my engine since it will be running VERY lean at the time? after that I know 0 PCV valve will be in favor for better flow and pressure ventalation.

Oh and I will be adding a vent on my catch can to only allow vapors to excape, so If a back fire occurs, it will be routed to the vent instead of the engine.

Anybody have issues with having a (small) vac leak @ idle? It only seems to exist when warmed up.

Default

well how bout this, is like 15ft of hose too long for the PCV system? Im doing a wire tuck and routing the PCV hose behind the fenders to a catch can at the front of the car.
