Default need expert help with a vtec problem *searched*

I have a jdm b16a in a 1998 honda civic. It has itr cams and is being ran on an itr ecu. What is happening is my v-tec kicks on fine and hits. Then my car sounds like it has a really wierd miss or just like a subaru. But it carriers over after vtec into normal rpms. Then it will go away and sound normal after you stop at a light or just drive it under vtec for a min. Car runs good and strong but when vtec hits the weird miss sound comes. But does not affect vtec power at all. You can only really start to here it after you shift or get below vtec. (lower rpms)
(almost sounds out of time. then goes away)

I have tried

1.I already tried a different ecu (p30) still the same thing

ANY INPUT WOULD HELP PLESE

Confusing question, but I think I got it. Other than your Vtec not hitting at 5500 rpm or the solenoid being broken, I think it's fine. Check your exhaust it might have a leak or something......????

Well, on a subaru, the noise is caused by un-equal length headers

So, do you have an aftermarket exhaust manifold? (an ebay one specifically as they're a bit poor in the quality department)

If you havn't, no idea sorry!

is it just a noise or is there any powerloss that comes along with it? also did it throw any check engine codes? you should also tell us what year and motor you have.

i swear that changed after i posted it or im on drugs that i didnt know of... anyway, i know someone that changed out their injectors with out tuning it for em and id did a similar thing, i dont know what code the the ecu showed for that though... did you change anything on your car for this to happen or is it a new and abrupt thing?

it happened after the cams, but not right away so im not sure if that has anything to do with it.
The story is i have my friend bought a jdm b16 long block and then built a gsr bottom. So i bought his jdm b16 bottom end and put my head with new cams valspring and retainers and new ecu. all itr but its directly corrilated with vtec its happening only when i hit it not before
