usdm and jdm ecu?
Is their difference between the jdm and usdm obd1 gsr ecu?
Also i did a jdm gsr swap into my eg and it came with a p30 ecu chipped by spoon. If i am not mistaken the p30 is from a b16? Are their any pros and cons to this?

yes there is a difference.
JDM ECUs will not communicate to USDM code scanners, nor pass emissions testing.
JDM ECUs do not have a lot of the emissions related sensors that the USDMs have.
There are fuel and ignition map differences.
unless your P30 has a Spoon sticker on it that seals the ECU from being opened it's the typical "spoon" clone that you can buy from Ebay which is a POS at best.
Also the P30 does not have IAB control like the P72 has. So either you have a different intake manifold, have the IABs connected to the VTEC output or the IABs are doing nothing.
The P72 will run the car a lot better.

yeah a chipped p28 or p30 ecu will work cause i am running a chipped usdm p28 ecu on my jdm b16a sir2 engine and it runs better and smoother than oem jdm p30 ecu.cause it kept throwing traction control and knock sensor CEL

does having the iab hooked up make a big difference? I haven't done mine yet because i was planning on getting a new IM, but i decided to wait for the composite skunk2 IM and i dont know when that is going to be released.

it depends on how you drive the car.
if you don't rev the car much then you probably will not notice. But if you're pushing the car you will notice a difference.

umm... I think you might have got it backwards. Running a GSR motor without an ecu that could control the IABs (secondaries in the intake manifold) makes it stay open the whole time. Same thing happens if you unplug the IAB sensor in a car running a gsr with a p72.
You get the same high end, but you lose a lot of low end torque and hp. Its kind of like running VTEC at 4000 RPM.

the ecu has a spoon sticker and is sealed. i opened it one day and it has the spoon chip in it.
im curious on how much i could sell this ecu for...

did you tear the sealing sticker? if you did then it's not worth a whole lot.
If you didn't then the price goes up considerably.
do some searches, they are rare but not unheard of.

Wow, no kidding? I live in Canada, sure as heck don't have any speed governers on our honda/acura cars.
As far as jdm ecu's, they came with the speed cut @ 180kph, only ones that weren't were modified from what i've seen

yah, the US gets all the bells and whistles... 
example, of the five different nonUSDM P72s that I've through my hands personally, only one had a speed limiter.
Four USDM P72s that I've had, all four had one.
note: this is verified from ROM pulls not highway runs.
