Default under the d16 head

I have a question, more or less just curious if this has happened to anyone else? I have a d16z6 motor, and the top bracket of where my distributor goes into the head broke (the top bolt bracket on the triangular bolt pattern). When that happened, did you leak a sufficent amount of oil. Im not an idiot and i know that if there is pressure under the head, but only the top half of the bracket broke, meaning, that there is a flesh mount of the distributor to the head, however, there isn't a full amount of pressure holding it on, ever happen to anyone else? and also, you have to take out the rocker arm assembly to get that bracket don't you???/ thanks for the help
