Since I dropped it in my car its a blast to drive. Your best bet to reaching your desired 200hp goal is FI. I think a 14b(DSM TD05H) is good for like 200+ thats if its tuned right, but if you want to get to like 300+ I'd say build the bottom end and get a wicked port job, build the head, and install a nasty *** cam. http://homemadeturbo.com/ Look through here to get info and to check out these guys' setups.

dont buy it from that website they rip alot of people off and send them fucked up **** or blown motors order it ffrom hmotorsonline.com

100 positive feedbackk i dealt with them but if your looks for 200 hp go turbo with a d series ppl doubt those motors sometimes but they r quick if u do the right stuff to it

Why would you even go through all of this if you are planning on getting a k swap after summer? I would just save up and use that money for parts for the k when you get it. Just sounds like a complete waste of money to me.

that was harsh but i see what youre saying....the reason i am doing this for right now is because my tranny is about to go so im looking for somethin reasonable...a k is def. not reasonable right now lol....(i am not loaded lol).....so i am just going to get the d for right now and just mess around with it....just asking for opinions and what the d can actually do....but thanks for the advice...sorry i didnt put that in the first post

Stock the D15b and the D16z6 are good for 200 HP on the stock block. Just make sure you tune it. In the end you can probably do it for under $2k for parts then whatever the tune costs. There are plenty of bolt on turbo kits for the D that are fairly cheap.

Check out d-series.org for alot of good d series info.
