as title states, i recently come across a few threads and saw the words "civic vti" and civic "vi-rs" what are theese? is it cuz im canadian and theres none up here? (we have a civic reverb, u guys have that?)

its model thats available through most of europe and many other countries around the world, not available in u.s though. japan also has a vti but its only a 1.5 whereas all the others around the world are b16 or b18

also interestingly enough, the VTi gauge cluster is in MPH rather than km even though the car was not sold in the U.S. sorry had to throw that in cause i got a VTi cluster ha

over here in u.k vti came in 92-95 civics (3 door, 4 door and coupe) 96-00 (3 door , 4 door and coupe) and del sol

maybe more but thats all i remember for now

92-95 Civic VTi - HB (EG4) and 4door (EG9)

"Civic VTi" is a modell with the B16A2 for the european market.
They have power- windows, mirrors and sun roof as standard equipment.
Also deeper front seats + the 2 seat split in the rear, black dash and door panels.

The fastest Coupe avaliable was the "ESi", D16Z6

Our Vti's in Denmark is EG6, EG9, EK6, EK9.. And they are with a B16..

dont know much about differences but sir gets lsd and slightly higher output (170 apposed to 160 vti gets)

The VTi is the name given to the B16A equipped cars in Europe (the left hand drive ones). It regards the EG6, EG9 and both EK4 (H/B and Sedan) chassis. There is also the iVT ones that are the EE8/EE9 (left hand drive EF8/EF9)

The diference between the Vti and the Sir is only the steering wheel place. One is left hand drive, the other is right hand drive.

honda sold only 6 vti's in israel,

i live in israel and we have only vti hatchs from 94.

infact i got a b16a2 waiting for a rebuild that came out of a 94' vti hatch. so its pwitty rare here
now that i got the engine its gonna be a PITA to find a tranny

uhhh... i don't kno about other places but here in australia, vti 92-93ish have <U>no</U> vtec and are equivalent to si and are DOHC. vti 93 onwards to 95 have vtec SOHC d16 <U>not</U> b16a(2). the only b16a(2) is jdm b16a in sirII, a model we never got here. yeah, i know it sounds real fukked and some arent gonna believe me but u can check out he oz honda site and c 4 urself, its a hot topic coz every1 wants one includin me. i dont know why so many ppl say Oz is lucky coz we got b16a in EG, truth is we <U>dont</U> and we have a hell of a time trying to import one.

eg5 vti - is soch vtec as well - all vti here in australia as cicivdacbiet said are all d16 motors... the only type that came out wid da b16 is the sir ... so any model being referred to in aust/asia that is vti and standard is 1.6 soch vtec...
