Default for u guys with Clean cars with Swaps..?

i see alotta people that not only have an expensive worked motor swapped ..but theyre cars are Cleann as hell.. i thought of this just after looking at that 2000 White GSR hatch .. do u guys look for crashed cars, extreme mileage or what.. because to see cars so clean with 4000 dollar motors looks like a crazy investment to me.. im guessing that u dont buy a mint hatch or maybe im wrong

I just looked for any 99' or 00' hatch and came up with mine, Next thing on the list is a motor swap.

It all depends on what type of car you have to start with. Some people are lucky and get a hand-me-down 2000 civic and start from there, other people go and buy a 92-95 civic with high miles and start from there.

Its all about finding deals too. There are hundreds of good deals on H-T and other websites. Just have to keep your eyes open.

Yup, I bought my JDM GSR before I bought the car and after like a week of constantly working on the engine I sterted looking for my EG hatch. I got raped on the price but it was so hard to find one I couldn't wait.

Tell me about it.

My rust free 95 CX with a blown head gasket, cost me just about as much as some other people on here have paid for newer, better running hatches...

i got my 93 dx hatch from a middle aged guy who needed the money so i got for a fairly good price, miles were good for what year it was and the car was in really good shape. now its still clean as hell and fast to boot.

I personally went for the High Mileage car. The price is cheaper since the K's are high and for me it wasnt hard finding a Clean Hatch with high K's. But I also have some friends that got body work done to their cars with a "serious" paint job. The options are there it just depends on ur budget, time, and what ur personally into. anyways good luck with the search

two years ago i bought my 96 dx hatch for about 4300. it had 176xxx, but was almost flawless on the outside. some college student that lived far from home had the car. the dealer had EVERY service record. too bad i had to drive almost 5 hours to look at it. look long and hard before you buy something.......there are losts of deals to be had.

I guess I was lucky. I bought a 92 white VX with a little dent on the rear quarter panel. It had 117,000 miles on it. I sold it for $5000 and bought a mega clean white 94 CX with 64,000 miles for $4500.

I guess I got lucky. I swapped it about a year later.

im guessing that ppl with clean cars and swaps have had their car for at least 1 1/5 years. i have had mine for 2 years and im very pleased with my accomplishment. i worked on my motor first, then the cleanliness

when i bought it, it was very clean

got my white 92 hatch about two years ago.
Dx model.. lightened it a bit.. + suspension , decent brakes and a dohc vtec swap.
It was a long drawn out process.. to do this.. Paid around 3k for my hatch.. w/ 100K + miles.. a lil high but so worth it! white hatches are swweeetttt in my opinion! I pieced together a nice rare motor.. 1688cc's now.. and It would have been cheaper -easier to just drop in a b18c1 but.. I like going the unorthodox route with my car and I am glad I did.. every time I put it in Vtec!

Im picking up a Red '93 DX hatch for $400(not a typo,Four-hundred) at the end of the week. Then im selling my CRX and dropping an H22 in the hatch. Then i'll work on the rest of the car. So anyone want a CRX? It's nice

My 93 hatch before I bought it was DOGGED to hell. The paint / interior / exterior was owned by slobs! With a couple coats of cleaner and a high speeed buffer / sander from harbor freight the paint is looking clean as hell!

I just recently posted pics of my car after the claening

My 00 Hatch was $9000 with low miles, and a SUPER clean interior and exterior. I don't think it was a bad price to pay at all. Motor was $4k...plus suspension and a few other things...yea, it gets expensive but I dont mind.

I bought mine from a 65 year old lady that used it as a daily commuter miles were not horribly high but she just wanted to get rid of it for fairly cheap

looking for a later model like 99-00's should save you some headache from any kind of body work and rusty panels.
