Default TypeR sway bar into 5G hatch

I was wondering if anyone as done this install? If so what where the parts needed and how much did it end up costing you? I have checked hybrid honda part list for the install. Do i need all those parts for the install or does it vary with the different models?
thanks.

You will have to have GSR rear Lower Control Arms and the endlinks and the sway bar itself. I have done it with a GSR sway bar but not a type r but it should be the same way.

if you need the gsr lca's, new sway bar, new endlinks, brackets, bushings, it'll cost more...and dont forget the reinforcement for it

I would suggest getting this http://www.beaksproducts.com/eg-quickswap.html , its a pretty good price for everything you get, the type r sway bar w/ all bushings and endlinks and the sub-frame reinforcement kit.
But you're also going to have to get some gsr rear lca's and they go around $50-80.
SO total, w/ the beaks quick swap kit, it'll be ~240-270.

Yup. That's the ticket right there. Easy install. You can probably use 94-97 del Sol VTEC or 96-97 del Sol Si rear LCAs, or any 92-95 Civic that uses a rear sway bar (I've noticed a couple of stock sedans with sway bar mount points recently, but that needs confirmation). Or as noted above use Teg LCAs.

Isn't that bar a little too thick for the EG?

If its the only suspension mod you have, then maybe so. I believe that's when a lot of people experience subframe tear-out. If you have stiffer springs and shocks you're fine.

I have the ITR rear sway on my del Sol, and love it. Handling it splendid.

Can you use ITR lca's... or are GSR lca's the only way with the Beaks kit?

I'm pretty sure ITR Lca's will work, as they have the endlink hole thingy, and the bar is from an ITR But I got the last itr sway bar in stock from beaks- wahoo!!!

You'd almost certainly need different endlink hardware with the ITR LCAs. Dunno what to tell you on that one.
