Default Two questions about valve cover leak

On my 94 civic 1.5 the valve cover has been leaking and the end of the plug wires are soaked with oil. The car will stall out sometimes when you stop. Im amussing this is related with the oil on the wires?

And the rev limiter is at 5800 right now, it seems like it should be a little higher maybe? But Im still new to hondas.

This is an auto BTW

yes if you have oil in the spark plug wire holes, the seals are not sealing right.

You dont need to take your D15 past 5800rpm anyways.

Ok, read somewhere on this site that a leaking valve cover would effect the rev limit. Must not apply to mine then

A leaky valve cover shouldn't affect anything. Just makes a mess. Get a OEM Honda valve cover gasket kit. Problem solved.

was that necessary?

OP, check with HEEL TOE in the classifieds. He sells the whole kit, from Honda at lower prices. Those spark plug hole seals are 7bucks each here in Canada. He has the whole kit for like 30 bucks i think.

Be careful, those studs that hold the valve cover are weak
