turbo question
I am about to purchase a greddy turbo kit for my 94 ex. THE WIFE SAID YES. I was wondering about the exhaust. When I purchased the car it had a flowmaster exhaust on it (muffler only) and a friend of mine stated that to run a turbo I need a catback to help release the exhaust easier. Is this true or can I just stay with the flowmaster on it. After buying a zex camshaft and skunk2 cam gear I don't know if I can talk the wife into an exhaust also.

Re: turbo question (94civicx)
YES, you need a full exhaust, not just a muffler, your going to be releasing alot more exhuast with that turbo on, hince you need a bigger less restrictive exhaust, thats around 500 on average, but then you might not have to get it right away but the turbo won't do its best IMO. You might have to coax her into giving a little more up .

Re: turbo question (samdawgsol)
you don't need to run a catback exhaust..but you will DEFINATELY want one asap...stock exhaust has far to much backpressure. w/ turbo, you want as much free flow as possible, so your turbo will spool up quicker, and make more power.
