Default Crank Pulley Removal

Hey guys I am in the process of disassembling my girl's 94' CX. I have the head off and need to now get the Crank Pulley off so I can remove the timing belt and then replace the water pump. I do not have an impact wrench in my garage so that suggestion will not help. I assume that somebody must make the tool that will fit in the many holes around the outside of the pully and hold it while I use a rachet on the bolt holding it on there. I tryed searching on SnapOn.com and MacTools.com but dont see what I am looking for on there. Does anyone know where to get one at? Do I have to go to honda, or has anyone ever had one of these tools made? Thanks

I've seen such a tool made by Moroso.

I've always had good luck with pinning down the flywheel and using a breaker bar with a 4' pipe extention.

SLPR..........

I dont have the tranny off, so I dont think that there is a way to pin down the flywheel, is there? Do you know where I could locate this moroso piece? I looked at there site and cant get anyway, maybe they are under construction or something?

remove the starter, and wedge a screw driver in the flywheel....unless you have airtools

Put the tranny in fifth gear and give it at try......

An air tool is the best way.

no it wont...I've done it several times...do a search, and you will find that is the recommended way...you just wedge it into one of the teeth.

Thanks for the info, I will try this method and see if I can get it to work. I did try searching and didnt come up with anything that looked like it would work, without the tool.

thanks guys

The tool your looking for is the Moroso 61805 and can be bought from Summit Racing for about $70.

4ft breaker bar and this tool got it done for me.
