turbo dat d
So if I run the turbo at 6-9 psi, is there any desperate need for new internals? This is on a d16y8 with 45k miles on it. Or any other parts, such as a new clutch/tranny parts? I've heard 6-9 psi the stock parts can handle with not much extra wear.

depends on the turbo, with a normal .57trim t3/t4 and below you would be fine. But bigger than that id go lower psi if stock. But if your going to do it, might as well do it once and do it right

For reliability, I would only boost 6psi. If it's your daily, then you should lean towards the practical.

As stated above, PSI is null and void. HP is what breaks the motor. 6 PSI on one turbo isn't the same as 6 PSI on another turbo. If its stock internals keep it around 200whp. I'd look into putting ARP head studs on as well.
