Default Turbo d15?

I was out at our local track here in DFW and some guys had a beat up eg with slicks and no hood, no front bumper and half of a fender. This was a beast, this was at a 1/8 mile track and it ran mid 7's? we looked at his work and it was a d15 with just typical turbo prep and a small turbo set up. Should I invest something like this? Sleeper Honda...Turbo?

Boost is ALWAYS a good investment. Make sure you understand how it works, what parts are needed, etc.

well you can but you can only go so far with the d15 untill you can't go any farther. but it is a good sleeper do the mini-me head swap and your turbo kit selection will go through the roof and you can go alot farther on the motor

I was thinking of doing a d15b vtec and turbo it. Should be around 200hp. Plus mad cheap instead of doing a whole b-series swap. D series all the way

For around 1000 you could get a d15b vtec and piece together a turbo kit and be still be a grand cheaper than a b16/b18. You can get d15b's for 500 shipped for Makoto motors, or like 650 from HMO.

Just got back to my question and got some really good responses. Thanks guys. as far as engine preping my sol, What parts would I need for maybe a 200-220 hp set up. Would I have to rebuild the whole motor or just change pistons, rings , cams and stuff like that? I am a broke college student and just wanting a subtle sleeper with a cold...(wahh...chhhooo)! I'm just looking to see what I can build on to what I have d15b7...the one rated at only 102 hp its ok its non vtec either If its the right price...1000-1500 or so I might be willing to do the d15 turbo sleeper.

Thanks

Slap a z6 head on it forsome extra hps and homemade turbo kit. Should get you to 200hp's. All for under 1000 easily.
