Re: transmission question (tigueremalo)
I did a B16 Swap for someone and we ran into issues with the axles. I may not be 100% correct, but here's what I ran into. The passenger side should be the same. The difference will be in the intermediate shaft and the outer axle on the driver's side. I believe the Integra intermediate shaft has a female end where it meets the axle and the B16 a male end (vise versa maybe). At any rate I'm fairly sure they are different, so if you're asking about axles only then you may have a problem. If you're doing a full swap with the intermediate shaft you might be okay, HOWEVER, the carrier bearing on the Integra may be different. I mean different angle, offset at a different length, different mounting, etc., they may look similar, but when you try to bolt it in you could be out of luck. When I did this swap the guy I was doing it for got an intermediate shaft off ebay and it didn't work. We ended up getting the real deal from Honda. The one from ebay was similar, but not the same. The whole swap was a complete cluster F. What should have taken a day or two, took a total of 6 weekend do to all the issues. I told him what he needed and he kept trying to cheap out. I would work on the car for an hour or two every weekend and then come to a grinding hault as a result of parts that were wrong (the axles being only one issue). The swap I was doing was simple too, a 99 DX conversion to a 99 B16. Get the right axle and be done with it.
