Default HELP! Swap question - Axles

I am putting a B16 in my 95 del sol. Bought a new set of axles online - both are about the same size, the only difference I see is that one has a female end and a male, the other has both males.

Dropped in the B16 - every thing is bolting up fine. On to the axles - the passenger side slides in and is buttoned up. On the the driver's side and WTF? It isnt nearly long enough to make it over to the tranny....in fact, it looks like the shaft from my D15 will work better than the new one I bought. Thought maybe I was sent the wrong shaft, but a search on ebay shows they are selling the same set I have.

What gives?? Am I missing something? It seems I am missing half the shaft??

Odd that you would call it "half the shaft":

Do you have this piece?
