transmission leak!
ok, my b16 ek just recently started leaking transmission fluid.. i have no idea where its leaking from tho, because when i looked under the car it spread everywhere from driving it, it was jsut dripping from all different places.
anyways it only leaks when i drive it, doesnt leak when its just parked. i will wait for all the fluid to dry and drive it again the look under the car to see where its from.
but in the mean time, can anyone tell me all the things that could cause this leak, while driving?
btw its 00 si s4 b16 tranny
im guessing:
cv seal
anything else?
thanks

Re: transmission leak!
They same thing happened to me and it ended up being that a blew my differential... but you could start off by checking your axles seals or your shaft seal

Re: transmission leak!
Probably just a output shaft seal (cv seal, axle seal, whatever you want to call it). There are other places that it could leak though. I would just clean up the trans with some simple green and then take it for a quick drive.
I had an output shaft leak so bad that when it rained I could see a trail of oil that I left behind. Do to the "breadcrumb" trail of oil I could tell it was the passanger side seal.

Re: transmission leak!
my motor was sitting a little uneven, the driver side was a bit lower but i could not figure out why i changed out the mounts and still sat lower, so i just continued to drive it for about a week or 2, my friend told me i would **** up my differential if i continued to drive it like that. then a week later my passenger post mount snapped off. i changed the bolts and now it sits perfectly, but then a week after i put my swap in, i get this tranny leak.
anyone know how hard to change my differential? cost? or should i just get a new tranny, if that is that problem...
might be axle problem tho.. i did change my passenger axle to another user axle from my friend.
anyways thanks for help. ill try to find exactly where the leak is when i clean the oil and let it dry.
